Summary
The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and applying protective coatings and finishes to HVAC tanks and related components. This role ensures all surfaces are properly cleaned, prepped, and painted according to industry specifications, safety standards, and company quality requirements. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial painting processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production or fabrication environment.
Primary Responsibilities

- Spray painting of hydro equipment
- Main painting duties include: laying down equipment, cleaning and washing, mixing paint, and spraying it on the equipment
- Opportunity to learn more positions on the floor
- Comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conducting quality assurance checks to confirm meets specifications
- Determine work sequence
- Complete assignments based on production needs
- Understand procedures and processes for department
- Contribute ideas to improve or optimize procedures
- Follow company process standards, procedures and company policies in the shop including PPE use, proper part handling, and warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Forklift experience, preferred
Physical Requirements
The following physical activities are essential for performing the core responsibilities of this position.
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time (typically 4-6 hours in an 8-hour shift).
- Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Work Environment:
- This position is based in a welding and fabrication facility with exposure to typical industrial shop conditions.
